We are excited to introduce the LPS Zoom 32x8k Quad 1640 Prototype, a studio quality EGU. The EGU replaces our standard Image Enhancers and represents a major step forward compared to the standard models in both quality and performance.
The LPS Zoom 32x8k Quad 1640 Prototype includes multiple features over the standard Image Enhancer models available in the editor. It can operate at up to two times faster because it processes fewer pixels internally, while still delivering a significant improvement in output quality. This balance between speed and visual quality makes the EGU well suited for professional and creative workflows.
Although still classified as a prototype, this EGU has already exceeded expectations. The training process required extensive time and refinement, but the final results justified the effort. We are highly satisfied with its performance and consider it one of our most refined works to date.
The primary focus of the EGU is to elevate artwork quality beyond what is achievable with our standard Image Enhancer models. The standard Image Enhancer uses LSS 1.0, which simulates how light and shadow affect an image. With the EGU, this system has been elevated. The EGU supports LSS 1.0 or higher, exclusive to the EGU line, meaning it has a deeper understanding of light simulation while actively minimizing hallucination artifacts. The LPS Zoom 32x8k Quad 1640 Prototype owned enhancement model also demonstrates improved depth and perspective interpretation within its internal architecture.
Most upscalers, including LPS Zoom 16x8k v1.2, often produce outputs with a noticeable “upscaled” or artificial look. In contrast, the LPS Zoom 32x8k Quad 1640 Prototype significantly reduces this effect, producing results that appear naturally detailed, as if the image were originally created at that resolution.
LPS Zoom 32x8k Quad 1640 Prototype is a prototype version, yet it already delivers studio-quality results and outperforms some upscalers, from free to paid versions, even without refinement. Unlike standard image enhancer in our editor, This EGU features built-in denoising. While denoising is available, it is still recommended to enhance images without heavy artifacts to fully leverage the precision capabilities present in LPS Zoom 16, 16E (Experimental), 17 (Experimental), and 32 products.
Q.T. stands for Quality Transistors. While both Magnification and Q.T. upscale and enhance image output, they function differently:
Magnification increases the image resolution based on the model’s scale factor. For example, it can transform a 512×512 image to 1024×1024 or higher. This process primarily enlarges the image while maintaining the existing level of detail.
Q.T. controls the EGU’s internal model to improve image quality. Unlike Magnification, Q.T. does not directly scale resolution linearly. Instead, it allows users to set a target resolution and adjust Q.T. to match or increase the model’s quality output for that resolution. The effect depends on the EGU’s capacity and is not a fixed proportional increase.
In summary, Magnification is resolution-driven, whereas Q.T. is quality-driven
